Painting the moor

After walks this summer on both Exmoor and Dartmoor, I've been longing to capture these bleak but enchanting landscapes in paint. It's quite a departure from my usual blue dominated sea plus sky subject matter, but quite refreshing to get into greens, ochres and violets. Here are the first few steps to a Dartmoor landscape... Still work to do.
